Nelson Tagoona is a vocalist and musician from Baker Lake, Nunuvut. His innovative style of “throat boxing” has earned him national recognition, being named one of CBC Music’s “Top 10 Canadian Artists under 20” and received the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal. He has performed with Red Sky Performance’s Adizokan in collaboration with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Northern Scene Festival at the National Arts Centre, and the Pan Am Games.
